Being a volunteer means you choose which tasks you wish to do, when you are able do them, and how many hours you want to volunteer.  The following are some of the services we provide:

    • Transportation to health related appointments and essential errands
    • Companionship
    • Shopping / light housekeeping
    • Yard work / snow removal
    • Simple handyman repairs
    • Home modifications
    • Respite for caregivers

The assistance that we provide is nonmedical and is at no charge to the care-receiver.

Who Can Become a Volunteer?

Anyone who has a desire to help those in need can become an IVC volunteer. IVC volunteers use their own personal vehicles and are reimbursed for their mileage. IVC also offers excess liability and auto insurance coverage for all volunteers. Background checks are also required for all volunteer applicants.
